What to Expect

When you come to our clinic, we'll ask you a few questions about your health and medical history. We do this to better understand your needs and offer testing recommendations. If there is a possibility you may be pregnant, we'll include a free pregnancy test. An untreated STI can cause complications for a pregnant mother and the fetus. Thus, it's important to get appropriate treatment to prevent long-term problems. Even women having an abortion should get STI testing, as having an abortion with an untreated STI could lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.

Our clinic conducts free STI testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, and syphilis. We provide medical referrals if you need testing for HIV/AIDS, HPV, Vaginitis, Herpes, Crabs, Scabies, Genital Warts, or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Testing is done at our on-site laboratory, but some results may need to be sent overnight to our partner lab.

If you test positive, we'll discuss the results and the best course of treatment. We are also required to report some positive results to the County for contact tracing. However, we don't report the results to your health insurance company. Furthermore, we won't share your results with other medical care providers without your permission.
