Free Pregnancy Testing

Early pregnancy symptoms such as sore breasts, fatigue, mood swings, cravings, and missed periods should not be ignored. It’s wise to find out about a possible pregnancy as soon as possible in order to make informed medical decisions. While at-home pregnancy tests are very accurate in showing if a woman is pregnant or not, they do not provide important information such as the age of the fetus or viability of the pregnancy.

At the Women’s Health Center serving Chula Vista, we offer free lab-grade pregnancy tests and ultrasounds. These services confirm the pregnancy, show the age and state of the fetus, and can help a medical professional identify some potential problems[1] that would need to be addressed as soon as possible. A visit to our Women’s Health Center can also help a woman who is considering an abortion know what medical or surgical options could be pursued.

Support Classes

Our team offers various support classes to help expectant mothers prepare for childbirth and parenting. Childbirth education classes and parenting classes are open to both parents to help women and their partners prepare for the birth and care of the new baby. We also have a Moms Helping Moms support group where mothers of all ages and walks of life can share practical tips and offer emotional care and support.

Other Services We Offer

The Women’s Health Center serving Chula Vista provides free STI testing for Gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Syphilis, and Trichomoniasis. Any one of these diseases can cause serious complications for pregnant mothers, including birth defects, stillbirth, and infertility.[2] Our other services include natural family planning information and free maternity clothes for those in need.

Every pregnant woman deserves quality medical care and emotional support. Our team aims to meet these needs without charging patients to ensure that pregnant mothers have the medical information they need to make informed decisions about their pregnancies. Our Center does not perform or refer for abortions, or abortifacient drugs. However, we offer support to help pregnant women understand all their choices; these include not only abortion but also adoption and becoming a parent. We also provide support and a safe space for women to meet other expectant parents, talk with other mothers and mothers-to-be, learn about childbirth, and more. If you are pregnant, thinking about becoming pregnant in the near future, or know someone who would benefit from our services, feel free to get in touch with us and schedule an appointment at your convenience.
