What to Expect

When you come to our clinic, we'll ask you to provide some information about your medical history. This enables us to better meet your needs and recommend the right STI testing for your situation. The CDC recommends annual gonorrhea and chlamydia testing for sexually active women under the age of 25. Sexually active women between the ages of 13 and 64 should receive yearly HIV testing. Sexually active gay/bisexual men should receive annual testing for syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV at least once a year. If you're pregnant, you'll need to be tested for syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. Testing should be done early in pregnancy. This is why we provide free pregnancy testing to all women who come to our clinic for free STD testing.

Some tests are performed at our on-site lab, while others are sent to our overnight partner lab for results. We give medical referrals for patients who need testing for HIV/AIDS, vaginitis, crabs, genital warts, HPV, scabies, and PID. All results are confidential. However, we do need to refer some results to the County for contract tracing. Furthermore, with your permission, we can provide a medical referral to a specialist if the need arises.
