Women’s Health Center in San Diego

Pregnancy Care Clinic has long provided free healthcare for pregnant women and its new womens health center in San Diego will enable the facility to serve more women of all ages and walks of life than ever before. The clinic is staffed by licensed medical professionals to provide a range of medical services in early pregnancy, and support programs for after pregnancy.

Free Pregnancy Testing

Women who experience symptoms such as fatigue, morning sickness, appetite change, frequent urination, and/or a missed period may be pregnant. Home pregnancy tests, which can be purchased over the counter at any local pharmacy or supermarket, are 99% accurate[1] however, they don’t provide information on how far along a woman is in her pregnancy. Home Pregnancy Tests cannot be used as a verification to begin care or qualify for insurance coverage. Pregnancy Care Clinic can verify pregnancy and provide a report that can be used for the next steps.

Our women’s health center in San Diego offers free ultrasound exams to determine fetal age, ensure the pregnancy is viable, and check for signs of an ectopic pregnancy. Women who show signs of complications are referred to medical professionals who can provide proper treatment in a timely manner.

Support Classes

Having a baby is a life change and even those who have planned to get pregnant can benefit from support and training in topics related to birth and motherhood. Our team offers childbirth education, parenting classes, and a moms-helping-moms support group. We also provide an after-abortion healing Bible study group for women who want to overcome their shame over having an abortion and move on with their lives.

Other Services We Offer

The women’s health center offers confidential advocacy to women dealing with unexpected pregnancies to help them understand their options and make smart medical decisions. Advocacy includes information on both abortion and adoption for those who feel unready to care for a new life.

Furthermore, we offer help and support to any woman who wants to tell her parents and/or the father of the child about the pregnancy. Women are under no obligation to share the news of their pregnancy with anyone and our medical services are confidential. We will never share information without a patient’s consent; even so, we encourage women who can safely do so to share the news of their pregnancy with family members, so they can receive the emotional support and help they need and deserve.

Additionally, our team provides free STI testing for Syphilis, hepatitis B and C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and other conditions. It is entirely possible to have an STI with few or no symptoms; however, even an asymptomatic case of any of these conditions can cause complications during pregnancy[2] or abortion.[3]

Pregnancy can be a trying time for many women, especially if they do not have the needed emotional support and/or financial resources to care for themselves and their new little one. Pregnancy Care Clinic is a great place to start your care. Get in touch with us at your convenience, and we will do everything in our power to help and support you both during and after your pregnancy.
